divine the future from crow feathers

no longer human mere shadows before the bonfire

sunbird on fence devours the noon sun

this rainy evening we remember freedom

the rain outside and the sweat on bodies inside

buck moon flows down the dirty river untainted

tendons of night stretch and tear daybreak

not saying a single word while homeless man ate river crow
