just us the lesser known gods dancing to earth wind & fire

drift from voice to voice to the flat of silence

you are human because you are burdened by death

just one of many shadows waiting for the end times

quiet concrete corner saplings raise their heads

summer fly crawls across curtain fire

live long enough and you’ll defy the gods
