shadows learn to imitate fire as nights become colder
the monsoon forgets its contract with gravity and floods the heavens
worms convene in the shadows to debate the ethics of dust and dirt
summer at dawn the deadlocked back rehearses its funeral
mid afternoon blaze the rain stutters until it runs out of gas
edge of the coastal fog light beams scour every inch of darkness
frost giants melt and the river flows into oblivion
