borders burst into pollen the pilgrim’s path erasing lines and boundaries
clouds stream across the grey sky flashes pulsing like ungodly organs
candles burn jet black flames and those who kneel leave lighter
tides that ignore the moon are cursed to roam as phantoms in the fog
mantras mutate mid ritual
a fae child learns to play the spine each note a wrinkle in time
demons no longer hide from day and soil sees more than the sun
