rivers rise in rebellion and forests twist into snarling maws
at world’s edge a burning bridge for gods to cross into the void
the soundless and boundless melody of light ruptured
blood is ink and even shadows cling to forgotten thrones
realms of reality and illusion bound tight by a grey serpent of smoke
lightning struck twice the soil burns and black roots curl in defiance
oceans trapped in a dewdrop and just a whistle away a desert doused in golden fires
an almanac of every raindrop that split a microcosm in two
i wore a cloak stitched of antimatter and traces of void in memory of a brittle little planet
