pull the trigger and switch from flesh to verse
root our art in rebellion and rage summer we take back control
safe enough to fall and yet grim enough to stay
this summer night can no longer bear the weight our sighs
in the dark we sit and unearth the depths of our frailties
as shadows do after dark warm limbs writhe with renewed passion
unrecognizable is this summer the seasons have birthed
life. existence. matter. chaos the ringmaster cracks her whip
summer the rain irks the senses crawl away now
