smelling war in the wind wolves fall to heir knees
the serpent has forgotten its name but remembers every war and plague mongered
it is not the dark that needs conquering but the vile things in the deep
shadows descend into the cavern where the sun once fell and fractured
buried mountains deep a spark of chaos gathers the stillness of stone to bosom
we summon what the heavens fear hope & humanity from this frail and desecrated flesh
they say it gets easier by the hour this bloody debacle of listening to the mad gods’ whispers
dusk fire skies birth thunder in the shape of laughter
our feet rustle the leaves: part tune part terror half risen half forgotten
