pleasure is a sleepless night amongst rough waves
not just cosmic dust but a bonfire ablaze in this universe
train ride the bored mind reshapes daft faces
mynahs launched into the cold drafts of dawn
the ceremonial suffering of this wretched night
bonfires on branches the forest aglow in auburn
mind’s eye and subtlety is a grey tone of deprivation
taste the auburn in the air leaves shedding the fires of summer
outside the window pigeon companion contemplates the coming winds of autumn
