nothing more to say to the voices and yet the demons squeal
a falling leaf a swaying tree just how the forest speaks
lost causes are our way of life
a shift in the seasons and feet that dance to the heart’s tune
the night after a surplus of dreams will part with some if you require
autumn dawn what do we do with all these bent spines
you feel it coming you know it’s here and you think to yourself: just another day
a world where we feed and hollow out the minds of our loved ones
a stockpile of words and gin for the end days
