onwards until this flesh disintegrates
i reckon we’d never know the number of hands it took to raise the moon into the night sky
sum of suns multiplied by shadows standing still
the haze on horizon spits out the standup paddler
buddha robed in velvet having a slice of nirvana
waging a proxy war with crows for the morning light
mostly fragments of a life before scattered thunderstorms
we tug at strings to remind overlords of our existence
autumn’s transformation akin to suffering
