after dawn we ignore the living and pleasure the dead
a manic cry from under the covers still here the monsoon
in bed we replace the autumn body with a memory
ghosts jumping the plank at the sight of dry land
two dead beetles later the light staggers out the door
if it is a dream you seek then you need to let go
solo the deep dive into neon lights
my autumn: never mind the leaves wait till you see the shriveled faces
learning to feel again from reattached limbs
