by way of dreams she speaks the landscape of fall calls
dusk we piece together the bones of night the bonfire ablaze
you’re in my headspace an overdose of sea and salt
bare your bodies tonight the moon’s come to harvest skin and bone
barely enough room to breathe grey clouds amass
the yellow haze hangs over the autumn river gazing into her depths
the rather interesting conversation of warped trees, shadows and dusk crows
the ghastly groans of the joints I once knew
mindless fantasies playing in the background just another day in my mind
