a psychic dropkick to unkind eyes
a rather stiff competition between bones and groans the silence shattered
after dawn we ignore the living and pleasure the dead
a manic cry from under the covers still here the monsoon
in bed we replace the autumn body with a memory
ghosts jumping the plank at the sight of dry land
two dead beetles later the light staggers out the door
