a light gust lifts pollen and petals now falling gently to earth
watch as i drift across distant fields searching seeking warmth
dark hands swipe at oblivion grey specks floating in an endless space
summer winds deliver ashes into homes reminding the flesh of witches at the stake
the culmination of contradictions let loose upon this innocent world
watch as my kin burn at the light it was painless and swift
a gentle hum in the dark to soften savage minds
monsoon cultists abandoning the storm for the warmth of bodies and tales by the fire
