our echoes digging deeper into the stone quarry
puts on a mask of shadows eastern face of the cliff
winter the dark rite of dancing trees in the night
the cold forest divided by the sound of the stream
every step of the way in the shadow of the winter moon
beyond the sun the flesh yearns for the call of paradise
buddha at the burn bin revisiting his faith
the void in the room cat shadow’s ears at attention
mist after the rain our cruel world is soft for awhile
