perhaps the empty classroom is a reflection of the magpie-robin’s soul
finally some sense of urgency clouds rush overhead
even in sleep i keep the soft parts of you close
squirrel runs along solstice fence dividing autumn and winter
running away in opposite directions waterhen and a silly human
ash grey clouds the cold alive and well
the grey holds the morning light captive
centered and spiraling into the abyss
burning fields the subconscious feeds fire to the vision
