reach out with mind’s eye to calm the winter storm
dusk succumb to the projected patterns of passion
nature’s chandeliers cocoons suspended in time
on borrowed time mayflies in december
the seasons mould flesh and mind to survive this cruel place
bring me a blank slate and a child is birthed
the emptiness appeals to my capitalist brain
in solidarity with the rain bodies hit the earth
siren song the sky compelled to fall
