a soft feathered face stares back but the gods call it continuity
gaze into the abyss: bear witness to the darkness repeating its poem
winds wild and wandering: space thickens around absence and calls it presence
noon creek: a body crosses and the crossing remains after the body is gone
the near fatal implosion of my frail heart: a ripe mango bombs the bus shelter
called too soon to the bosom of our progenitor to fight yet another war
dark before dawn limbs navigate the turbulent tides of bedsheets and pillows
escaping alien lands dreamy petals drift gently to lonely shores
and if the night should threaten: light a bonfire in your heart and carry it into sleep
