north winds the old crow’s cold gaze
unhinged the body dizzy before the cloud column
come see night’s birthed a monster of a cloud
grateful for the window fog the illusion of snow
earth sky and bodies bound to the mango tree’s existence
rain returns and the cat’s watch comes to an end
the rain in the throes of twilight
power trip a sip of dark from the teacup
the storm reveals its name: blackout
