lunar ink from distant lands gather in deep quiet channels
pale skies the shadow’s grip on this body weakens
dew of new dawn: the darkest of bark stands stoic
fragments of sky revealed in sparrows’ song
seeds of night drift free in dark air
a shadow holds the spring forest hostage: in silence
light drains from eyes: limbs go slack and nothingness erases the passage of time
ripples cease as cleansed waters reveal the prophecy of a realm unseen
darker planes of existence: spirits and fungi birthed from decay
