bring to bed the dying ember
summer grey we’ve lost our way
what will become of fragile men in glass towers
dropping anchor and moving on to dreams
grey clouds gather just in time for a midday nap
light decay newborn shadows stumble
chasing after the dying light azure kingfisher
to the drenched gods we raise a toast of whiskey
rain at last this summer night is complete
