abyssal sleep a slow ripple wakes the body
pause in the rain buddha retires from earth
in single file i find myself marching with ants
cat shadow strolls down the light ray
the sun shower gentle and quiet on this day
rise from bed and slip into another’s shadow
before the lightning the kingfisher strikes
dusk the rain holds us bodies captive
dreams of turbulence and night fires
