burn bin the illusion of summer mist
dusk a handful of sand for safe passage
after the rain we return to silence
the cold creeps through the concrete cracks
never a threat until the drizzle becomes a storm
grey winds the shift from gloom to grim
rain curtain closing on our act
the old gods have answered with abuse
