bones frail and the ceiling fan creaks
slippery boardwalk demons lurk murky waters
morning walk turtle flees from monitor lizard
spring’s desire waking to haze grey
the silence too imperfect
dusk bird calls waking the virus
cathartic staring into the darkness
removing dead matter from the stars
