the virus
takes a step back
darker the skin
the greater the mystery
revel in it
sliver of spring’s heat in our veins
chasing silence mynah rattles a plastic sheet
blue backdrop
sparrows
chase the unseen
loosen the winter soil with rough hands
first day of March
sign of buds
after the winter rot
old empty shells
raise limbs
to the music
after dawn tiny sprouts rise to the east
