a strange hunger plagues the poet’s mind
the light brings no comfort this winter night
emerging from dirt the dragon’s maw
dream resonance
a familiar ghost
from the past
winter before dark dead plant divination
the brilliance
of floodlights
dissolving madness
and yet again we flee from death’s grasp
you know what’s hard to kill- dreams
dawn light explodes upon grey bodies
