speak soft and the bones of the forest align to listen
something to confess: bones rattle violently
the river wasn’t where it was supposed to be this morning flowing free from the third eye of foreheads
dark before dawn we untangle limbs into unfinished shapes
summer twilight a beast reminds you of your childhood
speak thy command and we will unbegin
you drank fire disguised as truth and now you see through all veils
