beneath the summer moon’s gaze shadows spar on soft padded walls
prayers blossom into fire and ash ready to alter the events of reality
auroras do not simply disappear they are dragged back to warm caves and laid to rest
candles hiss with delight and the black of wax drips down chains to kiss flesh raw
