it is not the dark that needs conquering but the vile things in the deep
buried mountains deep a spark of chaos gathers the stillness of stone to bosom
we summon what the heavens fear hope & humanity from this frail and desecrated flesh
they say it gets easier by the hour this bloody debacle of listening to the mad gods’ whispers
dusk fire skies birth thunder in the shape of laughter
our feet rustle the leaves: part tune part terror half risen half forgotten
moss grows from a moonlit fox which speaks in riddles
where sunburnt shadows cease to chase dunes curl into colossal limbs
scent of iron and rain the oath of paladins grows sword from stone
