raven perched against a broken tree limb we speak the ancient riddle of eyes
fractured skylines and timelines: moss gathers in loving clusters under the shade
the city growls: birdsong scatters far beyond dingy walls and melancholic alleys
the gecko agrees and somewhere in the darkness of spring a dragon emerges from its concrete lair determined to burn this cruel world to the ground
still standing the in shallow stillness of march: a shadow of my former self
the pilgrim steps out from the shadow and walks the thin path drawn by the snail
as above as below: within the space of a leaf litter rot dark matter sits upon its rightful throne
