dawn sky the eternal parade of old gods

grey space the echoes amplified

after the rain silence of the kingfisher

this body drifts into the landscape

floats down the concrete last autumn leaf

in the grey listening to the birdsong

part foliage part squirrel

the woods wail and starlings scatter
