something about rust forged in the elements
hold myself hostage and wrangle the words out
stay a little longer words slow to a drizzle
huddle closer lest the summer rain separates us
the response is a sigh and touch night rain
approaching the sound of waves gunfire
tide break what’s left of humanity stranded
weather balloon the old gods frown with intent
