fill empty pockets with sea and sand

rain outside the silence stays
calm river softens the leaf fall
empty shells watch as mynahs jump the plank
call from the void flies swarm the station lamp
the season crumbles between fingertips
found: dead moth’s corpse
i wonder if the rain fears the little one’s wrath
cradled in the in-between this frail body
eye of the storm car wash
