cloudless sky our eyes steal the light from stars

seek succour in smoke and ripples
the river gods watch as we stumble along the banks
the clouds wait as pond heron readies for the plunge
quiet room eyes survey the landscape of bodies
flow into the deeper states of provocation
smell of burnt grass the body transcends within
right eye twitches the cat returns to its shadow
organised bodies control the narrative
a higher calling an alternate plane that enables resistance
