spring the storm drowns out the whispers

pulse of the ember in the dark eternal vigil
the rain walks in and floods us with emotions
surrender our bodies to the night rain
pale bodies gravitate alongside waves
washed up on shore moon rocks from the deep
the thunder disagreeing with everything
lightning thunder rain all speaking at once
waking with the rain in our bones
a charm of yellow bellied hummingbirds nature’s way of greeting us this spring morning
