live long enough and you learn to see the illusion of peace

deathbed the hands i’ve held far colder than mine
between the crack in the shell the bombs trickle in
an exchange of souls between the autumn rain and body
not to brag but i could beat you at daydreaming
unable to reason with the false night at noon
autumn bodies comparing bites and notes on homicidal mozzies
an indefinite delay of divine blessings please hold while we transfer your prayer
winter has already won and the cat knows it
the autumn cat stretches the sky from dusk to night
