we see the light but we decide to stay

tides collide the conversation dulls

river meets sea exchanging seats on bus ride

truck horn sparrows explode out from tree

river at dawn crow takes a moment to reflect

dark clouds gather to dream of rain

city lights whores undress shadows in the alleys

defying gravity snail crawls up marigold stem

dark before dawn how quietly the lightning strikes

a kiss from a long departed soul
