void worship eat away at soul bit by bit slow and steady
every letter struck and deepened with steel and flint
quietly we’ve gone from barely existing to raging like wildfire
not just the summer rain but the beast it brings with
a shadowy hand explores unhindered the realm of flesh
a skirmish in the cold forest to fulfill the terms of madness
burning summer greens whilst the flesh slumbers
silver winds the only constant across this plane of flesh
there is comfort in this cradle of roots enough for all
