seasons made of fabric a thousand tangled threads of fire and ice
the ground is alive a beast of earth and root clawing at the feathers of divinity
pale winds carve stories of a time before on the faces of obsidian rock
where gods bicker over dice and planets bloom like flowers
sleepless citizens shapeshift under the light of the nameless star
nightmares drip like wax from the half moon crown
once upon a time the stars were our shields now they drift and sing bound to none
old trees break free of earthen chains and chant in broken patterns
nothing breaks nothing holds we are left standing as waves leave for paradise
