a cold and self-contained kind of madness in dwelling
winter in the shadow of the tree you sway finally free
winter after dark the cat left a void in our hearts
draw from the almanac of flesh the days of abyssal yearning
amused at the vindicaton of my godless self
through fingers the seas fall as waterfalls into the ocean
cold dawn hands dredge stars from the muddy straits
across the veil of rain eastbound shadows ferried
little wonder that death has touched us in some way
