remaining light deadbeat pigeons sunning
survived by a swaying sapling where the winter forest once stood majestic
winter static the reattachment of lips
the collective consciousness slowed by the seasons
full moon i find my frail body unwound on the couch
mere mortal thoughts materialized as lightning and rain
after dark we redefine the quiet to suit our manic needs
desperation and the fog that threatens every waking step
in some sense death is art until you can no longer breathe
