subconscious tuning of the silence to suit our needs
fresh bodies of wood for the furnace the grin of summerborne fires
the living void bares witness to the dance of platonic cycles
in this space of dusk we undream our sequence of lies
call you by a different name touch you in a new way as the seasons change
like building a nest she fills the void with whistles and dreams
summer night the songbird still sings for the broken and cursed
curtains peeled on fairy wings the winds of august floats in
remember body remember how summer made us feel
