the rain pours as fingers trace the scars upon flesh
the city in tears silenced by poisonous fumes
it kills to remember of a time before the concrete
sailing downriver into oblivion the full moon
the winter cat watches as i consume the voices inside one by one
too sober to sleep the moon between the grey
come spring the rising seas will be met with thawed flesh
windlike fingers explore this scalp of ebony blades
clean lines and odd faces the landscape is born again
