surrender to the illusion of flesh and breath
the half moon the winter flower and i under a clear sky
this flesh bridges the gap between nature and concrete
reconnect and the forest will gain an eye and limb
winter shadows pull at the sun from all directions
water’s edge the heron freezes at its reflection
mostly cloudy she whispers before flying off into the dark
witness as the gods blink out of existence in night’s cavern
rabbitlike stars wary of the wolf moon this night
