winter shadows pull at the sun from all directions
water’s edge the heron freezes at its reflection
mostly cloudy she whispers before flying off into the dark
witness as the gods blink out of existence in night’s cavern
rabbitlike stars wary of the wolf moon this night
noon the pulse of the blood and drizzle quickens
leaves caught in the cold breeze abandon all design
pulled from the skies by invisible strings mynahs converge on garbage truck
other side of the wall humans howl at the wolf moon
