annoyed by the golden hour crows tussle in mid-air
overreaching shadows the bridge that no one crosses
burns angry in the river grey twilight sun
grey gathers and the little ones war over the tv remote
winter walls darken the static speaks to the flesh
brevity of the river fog’s beauty in a single breath
dawn the full moon bares her soul but we gaze at the earth
noon the foraging squirrel is it buddha you seek?
arms raised to the sky we pretend to be mango trees
