the emptiness opens the front door
noon moon walking in the rain
we say nothing and let the drizzle die
reading aloud the autumn rain as my witness
exposed in bed every raw emotion
night shift the cannibalisation of shadows
quiet on shadowy hills the mist thins
basho’s pond the turtle weeps for the frog
this body sprawled on a bed of auburn dreams
