the howl of noon trees as humans flee
feet clatter corridor gecko forgets its tail
rainy day setting aside happy memories
little one scribbles lightning on blank spot
tempted to lie about today sulking turtle
empty shells parade the fish market
strip the bark and sharpen the shrill
coast walk the pause in the rain
