winter winds seek refuge at our door
dreams linger in dark empty pockets
without warning the grey descends
to the place where shadows are birthed
a moment of clarity in the deep
bodies glide through still waters
a mind of its own the concrete landscape
burrow and deepen
pond edge my shadow skinny dips
