a sliver of humanity in our acts summer dawn
morning heat bears down but hope is still high
shade her from the summer hellfires
clouds sink bodies rise the concrete warm
seeking the voice that once brought fires
summer night bodies speak with touch
noon upon slumbering bodies pink glow
curious the face of the turtle swimming our way
soul walk approaching the bed of flames
