strongarm the night into submission
before dawn mynahs bring word of dissent
renounce your demons and join the night
crossing border of bedsheets to your side
shuteye moment just belonging somewhere
and to the old gods we say enough done goodbye
gravity drags patch of hair to the damp floor
crawl from bed to landscape first light
